About Me

My name is Mike Bernicker and I’m from Philadelphia. I’m a junior at Drexel University who has always loved rap music and recently got very into the rap music scene in and out of the Philly area. I grew up listening to all kinds of music, but got into rap about five years ago. Since then, I have began to study the industry and all aspects of the music of rap.

I started this blog because its something that I want to to pursue. Every day I am discovering new rappers and the music they make, which is something I want to share with the public. My goal is to give insight to people who appreciate all types of rap music, whether that be old or new, mainstream or underground, or anywhere in-between. I want to focus on the rap scene in the 90’s as it became a major music category and how its changed for the good and the bad today in the 2000’s. I want to cover not only 90’s VS the 2000’s, but also compare different styles, underground VS mainstream, and generally all things rap music.
